UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA LAW SCHOOL

CAROLINA ROTUNDA LITES is a sculpture of six positional, laminated and cast glass filters that translate exterior and interior light into colored shapes and projected forms; creating a seasonally evolving frieze that enhances and compliments the architectural space. The abstract imagery deals with the context of the building’s direction of interior and natural light. The panel’s positions are as solar panels catching the natural light of day and the reduced artificial light from dusk to dawn, creating a visual relationship between the building, the art and the viewer.
