NEW YORK CITY GARDEN

TITLE: Garden Light Sculptures

In the central courtyard of a new residential building in Greenwich Village the artist has created nine colored, illuminated glass surfaces integrated into the landscaping of the garden courtyard. The glass surface and lighting has been created to introduce a range of visual interest within the courtyard from light source to light source. And is also used to enhance the gardenscape of reflected light and to shield or illuminate specific areas within the garden. Set at the ground floor of the garden, residents see the Work from various angles depending on the living space location. Each resident has a specific view and configuration of the light sculptures. As snow, water and the seasons change, it affects the color. When it snows and the boxes are covered with snow, there is just a puff of light and color flushing out into the atmosphere.
