Miami Rain 05 F
TITLE: Miami Rain CLIENT: AFI Group ENGINEER: Oliver Osterwind, Buro Happold ARCHITECT: Arquitectonica DATE: 2010 PHOTO CREDIT: Raúl Pedroso, Solo Photography, Inc. Miami Rain, commissioned by Miami's Art in Public Places initiative for the Marquis luxury tower, is a constantly changing sculptural façade on the north and west walls of the 14-story parking garage. Shifting hues in different lights, Miami Rain produces patterns of fluid spectral color that move across the building as the sun transverses the sky. Visible to pedestrians, Light Rail passengers and motorists as they enter and leave the city, Miami Rain is a gateway and iconic image defining the performing arts district of downtown Miami.
